Success at Bridge City: Parent Partnership Meeting Culminates in Thanksgiving Feast
Bridge City, LA - The Bridge City Center for Youth (BCCY) held a very successful Parent Partnership Meeting, followed by a Happy Thanksgiving luncheon. This event highlighted the center's dedication to involving families in the rehabilitation process.
The meeting took place in the dining hall at 10:30 a.m. and was well-attended, with 15 parents/legal guardians and siblings present. All facility directors and department heads introduced themselves and explained the important roles each department plays in the rehabilitation journey of the youth at BCCY.
Family Liaison Kimberly Miller detailed her duties, emphasizing the ongoing support provided to both the youth and their families during their time at the center. The session concluded with an open Q&A, allowing parents to seek clarity on any issues. Many attendees offered praise for the leadership and staff, acknowledging the dedication to the work being done.
A notable expression of gratitude came from Mr. Eddie Bustamento, who publicly thanked the staff for their dedication and professionalism.
Immediately following the meeting, the atmosphere shifted to one of celebration as youth, accompanied by family representatives, were escorted to the dining hall for a special Thanksgiving dinner. Food Services Manager Shelita Nicholls and her staff prepared a lavish feast, which included turkey wings, ham, macaroni and cheese, seafood dressing, green bean casserole, hot dinner rolls, and a variety of desserts.
The dual event was deemed a huge success, strengthening the partnership between BCCY staff and the families we serve.
