An array of treatment and program services is available for youth in OJJ secure care facilities. Youth receive various services based on assessments.
Other treatment services and programs include:
- Required 360 Minutes of Blended Learning/Academic Classes
- Individualized Academic Counseling
- Pathway Selection based on individual student’s interests: TOPS High School Diploma, TOPS Tech (Jumpstart), or HiSET (equivalent to GED)
- Special Programs classes: Special Education, 504 and ELL
- Credit Recovery, Targeted Tutoring, Extended Day and/or Saturday School
- Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Program
- Career Exploration and Readiness Courses
- Life Skills Programming
- HiSET preparation and testing for residents who are 17 years old and older
- LEAP 2025 and other standardized testing required by the Department of Education
- Dual enrollment with state community colleges for 11th and 12th Graders
- Post-Secondary Education in 4-year colleges, and vocational schools for residents who have completed a HiSET and require further education (if the resident demonstrates appropriate behavior while off campus)
- One to One Technology Devices (Laptops, Study Buddies, etc.)
- Religious services provided on campus by volunteer pastors
