WHAT WE DO

OJJ, in collaboration with the Lafayette Consolidated Government, 15th Judicial District Court, Lafayette Parish School Board, Lafayette Parish Sheriff Department, and District Attorney's Office, has identified gaps in and front-end needs in the current juvenile justice system that OJJ could address with a single point of entry and coordination/collaboration of services.

The Louisiana Multi-Agency Resource Center (LaMARC) seeks to reduce juvenile crime by providing appropriate services to youth and their families. The LaMARC will identify underlying issues that may lead to delinquency through a comprehensive assessment and evaluation process. The LaMARC will leverage resources already in the community to expand alternatives to formal court processing, secure confinement, and increase access to evidence-based services for youth and families.
