Reporting Sexual Abuse or Sexual Harassment
All reports of sexual abuse or sexual harassment will be investigated and addressed. Youth, employees, and third parties can report incidents of sexual abuse or sexual harassment in verbal or written formats. All parties can file a report with the Office of Juvenile Justice by calling the Investigative Services hotline at 1-800-626-1430. Reporters can remain anonymous or provide contact information in the event more information is needed.

Angela Bridgewater Appointed to Interstate Commission

Program Manager Angela Bridgewater, MSW, LCSW, BACS,
has been appointed by the governor to serve as the state of Louisiana’s Administrator for the Interstate Commission, Compact for Juveniles.
 
The Interstate Commission for Juveniles preserves child welfare and promotes public safety interests by providing enhanced accountability, enforcement, visibility and communications in the return of juveniles who have left their state of residence without permission, and in cooperative supervision of delinquent juveniles who travel or relocate across state lines. 
 
The Interstate Compact on Juveniles provides for the transfer of juvenile probation and parole supervision across state lines to assure the accountability of the juvenile and provide a measure of community safety in the receiving state.

Suzie Durrett will continue to support the Interstate Commision, Compact for Juveniles, in her current position as Louisiana Deputy Administrator.
