LA Coordinated System of Care

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Jetson Center for Youth (JCY) Rising Stars Recital will be held Sunday, March 18 at 1 p.m. in the Jetson Area 1 gymnasium.

The recital will showcase the accomplishments of talented youth at JCY. Performances will be presented by youth in Art, Choir, Drama, Piano, Relaxation and Speech. A portion of the arts program is funded through a grant from the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.

The recital is an opportunity for parents and limited visitors to see the strides the youth are making as they learn to make healthy decisions and re-direct their lives. (The recital is not open to the general public.)

JCY’s artists and performers are called Rising Stars because, although they are unknown now, they are capable of accomplishments as they mature into productive adults.

A special presentation at the recital will be a sneak preview of the Jetson Rising Stars Choir's soon-to-be-released CD entitled "Sowing Seeds of Love: Jetson Sings." The CD will include a video segment, Jetson Speaks, which will be screened at the recital.
