Reporting Sexual Abuse or Sexual Harassment
All reports of sexual abuse or sexual harassment will be investigated and addressed. Youth, employees, and third parties can report incidents of sexual abuse or sexual harassment in verbal or written formats. All parties can file a report with the Office of Juvenile Justice by calling the Investigative Services hotline at 1-800-626-1430. Reporters can remain anonymous or provide contact information in the event more information is needed.

Policy

Policy and Facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

The CQIS staff is responsible for drafting agency policy as needed and conducting annual agency policy review to ensure that all policies are current and in compliance with federal and state statutes, ACA and the U.S. DOJ Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Standards, as well as, regulatory requirements such as Civil Service Rules, the Louisiana Administrative Code, Revised Statutes, and Risk Management Regulations. CQIS staff reviews statutes, standards, rules and regulations for changes and/or amendments. When applicable, revisions are made to policies to ensure they are current and in compliance, following approval by Executive Staff.
 
The CQIS staff is also responsible for review of the facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with agency policy. Revisions are submitted to CQIS for review and approval prior to implementation at the unit level.
