Performance Data and Information

Information is an essential tool by which OJJ measures performance, safety, and provision of services. Information is used in budget projections, to measure goals achieved and to set future goals of the agency. Extensive data is reported monthly from the secure care facilities.

Contract providers also submit information monthly, including medical, mental health, dental care and youth information demographics in a format that allows for month-to-month data comparisons and quality control measures.

OJJ staff summarizes facilities’ numbers to allows across-the-board comparisons and provide quality control. Database monitoring is conducted by Central Office, which performs quality control checks of monthly data entries to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.

Quarterly reports include data and information submitted from the facilities and the contract providers, used for performance indicators and budget matters.
